Spray coating is a surface-finishing process in which a liquid coating is atomized into fine droplets using a spray gun or automated spraying system and applied to a substrate. The coating forms a uniform film as the liquid spreads and subsequently dries or cures through evaporation, heat, UV light, or another suitable curing method.

Electrophoretic coating, also known as EPL coating, is a process in which charged coating particles in a water-based bath deposit onto a conductive component under an electric field. The coating is then cured to form a uniform protective film.
Unlike conventional spray coating, E-coating uses immersion and electrical deposition, making it particularly effective for coating complex metal components, including recessed areas and hard-to-reach surfaces.
Cathodic Electrodeposition (CED) is a type of electrophoretic coating in which metal components act as the negative electrode (Cathode) and are immersed in a water-based bath containing positively charged resin particles. An electric current deposits the particles onto the surface, followed by rinsing and oven curing to form a durable protective film.
CED is extensively used in the automotive industry as a primer coating because of its excellent corrosion resistance, uniform coverage, and suitability for automated, high-volume manufacturing.
